My name is Kathryn Henzerling, owner of Bella Dolce Maltese. I began breeding Maltese in 2002 after falling in love with my first Maltese, a rescue, named Cookie.

We reside in Phoenix, Arizona and show our dogs in AKC conformation dog shows throughout the United States. We have many times had the #1 or top owner handled Maltese in the country. We are very proud of our dogs and love their pretty heads, silky white coats and sweet, outgoing temperaments. We occasionally have Maltese puppies to place in show or pet homes and often have a waiting list. Socialization is very important to me as a Maltese breeder.All of my Maltese dogs and Puppies are raised right here in my home where I strive for health, AKC standard quality, proper socialization and loving temperament. “In order for animals to live in our human world, they must be properly socialized, beginning at an early age.” This is my philosophy and I take it very seriously. I touch, talk, and respect my animals daily to make them all part of our family life. It shows in the dogs that I breed and the animals I raise on my property. Proper socialization and effective puppy rearing make all the difference between a confident, social & intelligent family pet and an antisocial animal.  I work hard every day with my dogs- be it grooming, training or puppy rearing- this keeps me quite busy!
